There are a number of grant and funding schemes that are coming close to their application deadlines. These include the Self-Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS), Scottish B&B Hardship Fund, Scottish Newly Self-Employed Hardship Fund, Scottish Small Business Support Grant and the Scottish Retail, Hospitality, Leisure Support Grant. If you haven’t already made your application, you need act now before the deadline dates have passed.
Self-Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS)
The initial SEISS covered three months from March until end May 2020 and offered direct cash grants of 80% of average monthly trading profit over the last three years, up to £2,500 per, or £7,500 in total. In May the Chancellor announced that the scheme would be extended and will pay out another single grant, albeit slightly less, for businesses affected after 14 July.

Scottish B&B Hardship Fund; Newly Self-Employed Hardship Fund; Small Business Support Grant
We are encouraging any Scottish businesses that have, for whatever reason, put off applying for any of the above grants to check their local authority’s website and make applications as soon as possible.
The schemes are being closed by the Scottish Government at 5pm on Friday 10 July and local authorities will be unable to process any applications after this time.
The eligibility criteria for the funding has been extended and amended since initially being launched and therefore we would urge you to check the latest information. Links to our previous updates in relation to these measures can be found below.
