Greaves West & Ayre, together with leading law firm Hay & Kilner are holding a seminar for farming businesses and estates looking at how best to manage their succession planning and agricultural finance.
Through a panel discussion our speakers will consider
• the availability of Agricultural Relief and Business Relief including issues that arise when conditions are not met
• how to make provision for non-farming family members
• how to structure your business to protect against divorce and family disputes
• inheritance tax opportunities through protection (life insurance) modern pensions and trusts
Who should attend? Anyone involved in the agricultural sector who is looking to the future and is considering their succession and wants to know how best to provide for the next generation.
This event will also allow you to network within an informal environment and obtain insights which can be applied and implemented into your business.
The seminar will take place from 5.00pm until 6.15pm. Light refreshments will be served at 4:30pm.

Being from a farming background and with a degree in Agri-Business Management, Roseanne has a strong interest in supporting rural businesses. Rosanne appreciates the uniqueness of farming and enjoys working with families to tackle the diverse issues that are thrown at them. Roseanne is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
Alison Hall Head of Private Client Team, Hay & Kilner
Alison is a Partner at Hay & Kilner and has particular expertise in agricultural matters and landed estates, such as advising on succession to farms and drafting partnership agreements for farmers. She speaks both nationally and locally on agricultural property relief and is a member of the Country Land & Business Association (CLA) and the Agricultural Law Association (ALA).
Joe O’ Brien Independent Financial Adviser, Greaves West & Ayre
Joe’s experience in wealth management and financial planning extends across personal, business, rural and trust clients. As a Chartered Financial Planner and member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) Joe recognises the complexities of inheritance planning and the flexible and modern solutions that can be tailored to meet individual circumstances.
