Background

‘Mr Green’ is a married man with a portfolio of rental properties and other investments. His wife has had minimal involvement with his investments.

After some major health scares Mr Green began to think about organising his estate and assets, so this would not be a burden to his wife should the worst happen.

How GWA helped

GWA carried out a review and valuation of Mr Green’s whole estate, with a view to simplifying his assets. We also looked at reducing the Inheritance Tax (IHT) exposure, including making gifts to the next generation of Mr Green’s family and putting some of the assets into a Trust.

GWA also recommended a Life Insurance Policy to provide additional peace of mind for his wife.

We respect the privacy of everyone who comes to GWA for advice. So while this case study is true, we have changed client names to maintain business and financial confidentiality.
