We are seeking a Senior Paraplanner to join our professional team in Berwick upon Tweed.

As part of our continued expansion, we are seeking a Senior Paraplanner to join our professional team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to lead technical support, mentor others, and contribute to the development of our paraplanning function.
Individual Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compliant technical support to advisers, including suitability reports, research, and cashflow modelling.
- Manage complex and high-value cases independently, applying advanced technical knowledge and judgment.
- Act as a point of reference for technical queries, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
- Contribute to paraplanning templates, guidance notes, and best practice materials.
- Mentor and support junior paraplanners through informal guidance and collaboration.
- Ensure all outputs meet FCA and internal compliance requirements, liaising with Compliance as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to SM&CR and internal systems.
- Collaborate with advisers, Client Services, and Compliance to progress cases efficiently.
- Identify and escalate risks, breaches, or quality concerns promptly.
- Participate in internal improvement initiatives to enhance team performance and client outcomes.
- Complete timesheets daily and submit by working day 1 of the following week.
- Maintain personal CPD records in line with professional body and internal requirements.
Skills & Experience
- Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (required); Chartered status desirable.
- Significant experience in a paraplanning role within an IFA or wealth management environment.
- Strong knowledge of FCA regulations (COBS, TCF) and advice standards.
- Deep understanding of financial planning processes and product suitability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report drafting.
- Ability to assess cases critically and provide clear, reasoned input.
- Team-oriented with a proactive approach to shared objectives.
- Proficient in financial planning tools (e.g., Voyant) and CRM systems (e.g., Xplan).
