GWA Purchases Three Counties Limited

Following amicable and positive discussions, GWA completed the purchase of the financial and investment management business Three Counties Limited on 2 July 2019.

Three Counties, who are based in Bournmoor near Chester Le Street, County Durham, have been in business over 30 years and offer financial and corporate planning along with investment and wealth management advice. The ethos of Three Counties is very similar to that of GWA.  They take pride in providing a market-leading, robust, client centric service that is underpinned with superb client support.

Although the purchase of Three Counties is a new announcement, our relationship with the firm goes back almost six years when we chose to enhance GWA’s existing expertise with Three Counties portfolio management proficiencies. Over that time we developed a successful working relationship with one of their Directors, Andrew Alexander.

The expanded business means that with offices located in Haddington in East Lothian, Berwick-upon-Tweed and now in County Durham we are able to extend our message of Quality Advice and Quality Service further afield.

The Three Counties team will continue to be based at their current Bournmoor office.  The merger will not result in any changes to personnel or premises for existing GWA staff.

The Partners believe the future of GWA, and more importantly that of our clients, will be stronger with Three Counties as part of our family and look forward to continuing to support you and your business in the future.

Should you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to get in touch.
