New Defibrillators in Berwick and Haddington Offices

Several members of staff recently undertook First Aid Training Level 3 and as part of this were trained in using a defibrillator.

As a result, we have recently installed a defibrillator in both our Berwick and Haddington offices and there is also one in the Three Counties office in Chester le Street.

All units are accessible to the public (within office hours). We hope they are never used, but with 20 staff in Berwick, two in Haddington and two in Chester le Street trained to do so we are now prepared should any occasion arise.

Global Market Commentary – New Year’s Review

We are at a point in time where US stocks are dominating all others, in terms of both their outright size and the strength of their returns. In 2024, the MSCI USA index gained 24.6%, almost double the 12.4% return achieved by the rest of the world (MSCI World ex-USA). However, 2025 does bring a mixed outlook for unemployment and inflation, in the US and elsewhere, therefore it will be interesting to see if investment returns can remain so strong in the coming year.
