School and College Leaver Apprentices/ Accounts Trainees
We have an exciting opportunity for talented individuals to join our Apprenticeship training programme here at Greaves West & Ayre, Berwick upon Tweed, during 2025.
We currently are seeking to fulfil two roles for Accounts Trainees one based at our Berwick Upon Tweed Office and the other at our Haddington Office.
With your hard work and commitment, you could become a well-rounded Accounts technician and gain the AAT qualification or may progress with a Fast track to Chartered Accountant if you succeed and are selected to continue studying.
The AAT qualification is equivalent to a Higher Diploma or first year of a degree (Level 4 qualification). Paid training and exam costs are included.
Your training will include spending time in classes at college (usually Newcastle or Edinburgh) or live online learning, completing the exam modules and working within our modern office here at Berwick upon Tweed or at Haddington. You will receive ongoing mentoring throughout and will have the opportunity to work in our Accounts department to help provide you with the practical tools and ensure that you gain the professional technical skills required to provide quality client service as you progress your career and reach your full potential.

We require you to have Maths and English at GCSE or Scottish National 5 level, and to have sat Scottish Higher or A Level qualifications for this role.

Your salary is competitive and increases as you progress your qualification. We also cover the costs of your study package, first sitting of each exam and travel expenses.
