Raising Awareness of Mental Health

October 10 was World Mental Health Day, a global event with the aim of raising awareness and understanding of better mental health.

At GWA we have a dedicated team of staff from all areas of our firm, who look at opportunities where we can promote discussion and introduce activities on how we can be a mentally healthy workplace. We also have a qualified Mental Health First Aider, Lesley Clark, who is able to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues and manage options to provide further support where required.

We encourage all businesses to be aware of mental health in the workplace. Open and supportive workplaces benefit everyone, employees and employers. You can find practical information on the MIND website www.mind.org.uk.
