Community News
At GWA, we are always proud to support and engage with the vibrant communities across Berwick-upon-Tweed, North Northumberland, and the Scottish Borders. These past few months have been no exception, with our team being actively involved in a wide range of local events and initiatives.
We were delighted to support some of the region’s well-loved agricultural shows, including: • Glendale Show • Holm Show • Alwinton Show. These events celebrate the heart of our rural economy and offer a fantastic opportunity to connect with clients, neighbours, and friends.
Our GWA team enjoyed a great day on the greens supporting Berwick Rotary Golf Day. This local fundraiser brings together community spirit and friendly competition.
We raised £330 for the Jeans for Genes Campaign, in September, helping to fund vital research and support for children with genetic disorders.
We were pleased to support Berwick Rugby Football Club with the donation of new post protectors at the start of this season, helping enhance safety on the pitch for all the players.
Once again we are delighted to sponsor the Berwick Christmas Loyalty Scheme, now in its 7th year and managed by the Berwick Chamber of Trade. Running from 27 October to 31 December, it’s a great way to support local businesses during the festive season.
October saw us continue our annual support of the Berwick Literary Festival, celebrating creativity, culture, and the written word in our historic town.
We look forward to continuing our community involvement in the months ahead – supporting the people, places, and events that make our region so special.
