Laura Burns

Laura is a general practitioner assisting with larger/ more complex company accounts, charity audits and also has her own portfolio of tax clients. Laura is also involved in supporting partners in ad hoc project work.
Laura played a leading part in the implementation of cloud accounting into GWA a number of years ago. This work has lead to substantial growth in this area and Laura continues to expand this across the practice assisting clients to see the benefits of cloud accounting and how this can help their businesses.
Out of work Laura is kept busy with her toddler son with any free time spent enjoying the great outdoors and is also a keen horse woman.
Andrew Dixon

Andrew started his working life at a small accountancy firm in Alnwick before moving to a medium sized firm in Newcastle to complete his training. After qualification he moved to work as an Audit Manager in North Yorkshire before returning to Northumberland to work at GWA in 2008.
Andrew works in both audit and general practice and has experience in working with many owner managed business clients over various sectors. Andrew also has more specialised experience in dealing with LLP’s, Pension Schemes and Trusts
Andrew enjoys curling in the winter months and tries to keep up his general fitness in the summer months with a variety of sports.
David Renton

A member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants with a degree in Accountancy, David has spent much of his career in Corporate Services where he has been involved with clients across a range of different industries. As Deputy Head of GWA’s Accounts Department David is involved in the day to day running of the department, combining it with client work.
Away from work David’s main interest is sport; particularly football and rugby. Being a local and coming from Eyemouth, David is involved in many community projects including playing rugby for the Eyemouth White Horses. David was involved in setting up the Club and served on the committee. When he is away from work David is kept busy in his spare time by his two young sons.
Lindsay Dalgliesh

Lindsay, graduated from Strathclyde University with a BSc Hons in Mathematics and successfully completed her Chartered Accountant qualifications after she joined GWA in 2012. Lindsay works across the firm’s wide client base including owner managed businesses, innovative SMEs and charities.
Outside of the office Lindsay teaches Scottish country dancing and is also the Treasurer of the Duns and District Royal Scottish Country Dance Society. Lindsay also enjoys curling and carpet bowls.
